SANDAT GLAMPING

Located in the middle of a rice paddy, only three kilometers from the town of Ubud, Sandat Glamping consists of just eight accommodations; three lumbung rooms and five fantastic luxury tents, two of which are suite tents.

The tents and lumbungs have been individually decorated by Sandat Glamping's owner, who scoured shops and galleries for the perfect combinations of traditional Balinese materials, antique furniture and local artwork, along with sparkling chandeliers and contemporary pieces.

Each tent has a different color scheme and it's hard to decide which is the loveliest. The tent accommodations come with private pools and valley or ricefield views. The tents are made from fireproof, water repellent cotton. As for the decor, it's obvious that a lot of love and imagination went into designing the interiors of Sandat Glamping's tents. There are so many little details that guests will surely keep discovering new treasures during their stay.

The lumbung rooms are on two levels, which is reflective of their traditional use as storage facilities for rice. The lumbungs at Sandat Glamping have an upstairs bedroom with a downstairs open air lounge area. Even the bathrooms, which are on the lower level, have been designed and decorated with care. These bathrooms are nicer than the bedrooms at some hotels!

In addition to private pools for tent guests, there's a larger pool on the property, for use by guests who are staying in the lumbungs. Complimentary shuttle service is provided to and from Ubud. There's a bar that's made out of a huge lava rock from the north of Bali. Breakfast is served at an incredibly long wooden table, across from a feature wall that's decorated with all sorts of ornate mirrors, each of which is like a piece of artwork in and of itself.

Sandat Glamping is for visitors to Bali who want to feel remote, while still being close enough to go into town for dinner or shopping. It's a sort of secret place for those who want tranquil surroundings and don't care about 24 hour room service or other amenities found at larger hotels. Sandat Glamping offers atmosphere, unique accommodations and a special sense of intimacy.
